The inaugural meeting of the United Kingdom Cast Stone Association (UKCSA) was held on 20th February 1991, and on 26th March 2024 UKCSA held the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The UKCSA 2024 AGM was held at at Holiday Inn, Crick, Northampton NN6 7XR, with both UKCSA Members and their employees, and non-UKCSA Members,  invited to attend.  The AGM venue was ideally placed, just off Junction 18 of the M1, and close to the M6, A14 & A6 road network, with overnight accommodation available on site.

The UKCSA 2024 AGM commenced at 10.00 am with essential UKCSA AGM business, including the election of committee members for the 2024/25 membership year, and was followed by presentations by UKCSA Full Members , UKCSA Associate Members and industry experts.

Almost 50 of the UK’s premium cast stone manufacturers, other companies from the cast stone industry, and specifiers, purchasers and users of cast stone were in attendance at the UKCSA AGM to hear the latest news from the UK Cast Stone Association and to see the presentations.   The 2024 AGM presentations included:

  • Overview of History of Cast Stone & UK Cast Stone Association.
  • Overview of Recent Work of the Association.
  • Presentation: by Mr Michael Wildmore of Heidelberg Materials, on – Changes in cement and alternative cements now available.
  • Presentation: by Mr Jonathan Vaughan of Leviat, on – Restraining and supporting stone cladding, and the products available to fulfil these requirements.
  • Presentation: by Mr Matt Butcher of Mineral Products Association (MPA), on – The benefits to manufacturers, specifiers and users of EPDs & a possible UKCSA Members’ EPD for cast stone.
  • Presentation: by Mr Mike Quinn of PCS Brick & Stone Solutions, on – The work of PCS Brick & Stone Solutions.
  • Presentation: by Mr Karl Mobley of Oscrete, on – Oscrete’s experiences of limestone fines, CEM II AL cements, GGBS in wet cast stone mixes & the latest admixture types.
  • Presentation: by Mr Richard Lavery of Fibre Technology Int / Power-Sprays, on – Manufacturing equipment and glass fibres.
  • Presentation: by Mr Luan Pana of Pana Stone, on – Insight into the offerings of Pana Stone.

Attendance at the UKCSA 2024 AGM was free to all, and lunch & refreshments were provided.
