A wonderful example of cast stone from UKCSA Member Pennine Stone Limited‘s products creating grandeur and splendour on a massive scale for this substantial New Build on the Crown Estate in Oxshott.
The beauty of the portico draws the eye to the magnificence of the front entrance. Much of the detailing is replicated in the columns, the window surrounds, the string courses and the copings, all of which harmonise together to achieve a symmetrical resonance to the main elevation and beyond.
The weight of the front entrance created structural challenges, however engineering excellence around the design of the steelwork and slab, together with the clever use of heavy duty restraining fixings and D lugs overcame these complications.
The early involvement of UKCSA Member Pennine Stone’s experienced design and technical experts enabled an architecturally sound and aesthetically pleasing outcome which fully mirrors the client’s vision.
The resulting residence displays an attractiveness and gravitas which will be enjoyed by generations to come.
