(test results are regularly submitted to UKCSA by all cast stone manufacturing Full Members, as a condition of membership).
The minimum standard required of UKCSA Full Members represents over 40% increase in compressive strength above that indicated in the British Standard for Cast Stone, BS 1217, and at least 75% above the minimum requirement in the Standard for Manufactured Stone, BS EN 771-5.

The Association’s Quality Mark Scheme gives users and specifiers of cast stone further reassurance that the cast stone they are using is durable and produced to the highest standards. The UKCSA Quality Mark label on cast stone indicates that the cast stone product is manufactured to far higher quality and testing requirements than required for either cast stone to BS 1217 or for CE Marking of manufactured stone to BS EN 771-5.
