A 1960s private house has been transformed into an imposing residence by the imaginative use of architectural cast stone from UKCSA member Haddonstone.
This major project involved extensions to the original property and retrofitting details to the existing stone and brickwork. Haddonstone created a range of designs including two orangeries, steps, pilasters, balustrading and window surrounds. Smaller details such as band courses, copings and corbels add subtle elegance. Cast stone landscaping products were used throughout the grounds.
TecLite, a special glass fibre reinforced cast stone, was used to create thinner and lighter window surrounds, cladding panels and cornices for retrofitting to the original elevations. All components were manufactured in the company's standard Bathstone colour to create a uniform appearance.
